Welcome

Ever since its first reported sightings, the mythical MahiMingo, an amazing creature with the bright pink head, chest and wings of the Flamingo combined with the beautiful blue green body and tail of the Mahi-Mahi has proven to be a true  Thalassophile (from the ancient Greek: thálassa, “sea” and phílos, “dear, beloved"); meaning to feel love for the oceans and seas and all the things associated with them: beautiful sunsets, crystal clear water, sandy beaches, perfect palm trees, flavorful cocktails, fine cigars, delicious food, trophy fishing, wonderful people, a love of pirates and the best of times.  It has also been said that the MahiMingo, with his mischievous, devilishly fun attitude is a bit of a pirate in its own right, but he has always been a harbinger of good luck for those  fortunate enough to have crossed its path.

Scroll down to learn about the locations of the sightings of the MahiMingo and its history recounted from recovered log books of legendary pirates or documented stories past down from generation to generation, and his impact on traditions like Friday afternoon Happy Hours, Tequila shots with salt and lime, cigars with cognac and chips and guacamole... and how he has always brought good luck to those fortunate enough to cross his path and touched the lives of many!
